6. Leuphana Conference on Entrepreneurship (LCE2016): Creating Solutions with Sustainable Entrepreneurship

Unter aktiver Beteiligung des Centre for Sustainability Management (CSM) findet vom 14. bis 16. Januar 2016 an der Leuphana Universität Lüneburg eine Konferenz zu Sustainable Entrepreneurship statt. Die Konferenz ist zum Teil öffentlich zugänglich, einige Formate sind zusätzlich für Studierende der Leuphana Universität konzipiert. Ein umfangreiches Tagungsprogramm für die Scientific Community zum Fachthema Sustainable Entrepreneurship findet darüber hinaus ebenfalls statt.

Im Rahmen der Konferenz entsteht außerdem einSpecial Issue on: „Creating Solutions with Sustainable Entrepreneurship“ des International Journal of Entrepreneurial Venturing.

PhD. Jeffrey G. York
University of Colorado Boulder

Keynote Title: „Environmental Entrepreneurship: Collapsing the Economy/Ecology Dichotomy“

Professor Jeffrey G. York (PhD, University of Virginia) is an Assistant Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship and Shane Faculty Scholar at the University of Colorado Boulder. Professor York’s teaching and research are focused on environmental entrepreneurship, the simultaneous creation of ecological and economic goods. Professor York work has published and forthcoming work in journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Management, Organization Science, and Strategic Management Journal. His research has won numerous awards including the Academy of Management Organizations and the Natural Environment Emerging Scholar Award and the NYU-Stern Conference on Social Entrepreneurship Best Paper Award. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal.

Professor York teaches classes in business planning, entrepreneurial thinking and environmental sustainability at both the undergraduate and MBA level. He has taught and presented research in Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Italy, Malaysia, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and numerous institutions in the United States. Prior to his academic career, he worked in a technology incubator, led the startup of a white water rafting company, and was a manager at a Fortune 500 financial services firm.

Keynote Title: „Sustainability and Productive Entrepreneurship: Disconnects and Their Innovative Resolution“

Jay Mitra is the Professor of Business Enterprise and Innovation, and Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship Research at Essex Business School, University of Essex (UK). He founded the first School of Entrepreneurship and Business, at the University of Essex in 2005, and following rapid growth helped to establish Essex Business School in 2008. Educated in India (Presidency College, Calcutta University; Jadavpur University, Calcutta) and the UK (University of Stirling), Professor Mitra trained in the private sector in the UK, worked for local government also in the UK, specialising in economic and business development, and taught at 3 other universities in the UK, before joining the University of Essex

Keynote Title: „Sustainable Entrepreneurship: A Review“

Prof. Dr. Stefan Schaltegger is Professor for Sustainability Management at Leuphana University of Lüneburg. He is founder and head of the Centre for Sustainability Management (CSM), the MBA Sustainability Management and the Sustainability Leadership Forum (SLF). Prof. Schaltegger has received the Environmental Award of the German Association of Environmental Management in 2007.
